These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Befix website and the boiler services provided by BeFix Limited (trading as Befix), registered in England ("we", "us", "our").
By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Our Services
Befix provides boiler and heating services, including:
- Boiler repair and emergency call-outs
- New boiler supply and installation
- Boiler replacement and relocation
- Leak detection and repair
- Annual boiler servicing
- Gas Safe certification and building regulations notification
- Warranty registration and after-sales support
3. Quotations & Pricing
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Prices include parts, labour, certification, and VAT at the prevailing rate unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Quotations are based on the information provided and the findings of our assessment. If additional work is required beyond the original scope (e.g., unforeseen pipework issues), we will inform you and obtain approval before proceeding.
- We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the scope of work changes or if there is a significant delay between the quote and service date.
4. Bookings & Scheduling
- Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or written acceptance of our quotation.
- We aim to complete services within the timeframe communicated at booking, but dates are subject to availability, parts supply, and circumstances beyond our control.
- We will provide reasonable notice if we need to reschedule your appointment.
- You may reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice at no additional cost.
5. Cancellation Policy
- You may cancel your booking at any time before the service date.
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover pre-purchased parts and allocated labour.
- Once work has commenced, cancellation is not permitted and full payment is due.
6. Payment Terms
- Payment may be required in full prior to service or upon completion, as specified in your quotation.
- We accept payment via credit/debit card (processed securely through Stripe), bank transfer, or other methods as agreed.
- For larger projects, staged payments may be agreed separately and documented in the quotation.
- Late payments may be subject to interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act.
7. Your Responsibilities
By engaging our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your property, boiler, and heating system
- Ensure safe and clear access to the boiler and any relevant pipework on the scheduled date
- Inform us of any relevant property restrictions or access issues
- Ensure someone over 18 is present at the property during the assessment and service
- Obtain any necessary permissions from landlords or management companies before work begins
8. Warranty
- All work comes with a 2-year workmanship warranty covering labour and materials supplied by Befix.
- New boilers are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (typically 5-10 years), which is separate from our workmanship warranty.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, third-party modifications, power surges, flooding, or other events beyond our control.
- Warranty claims should be reported to us promptly. We aim to respond to warranty issues within 48 hours.
9. Liability
- We carry full public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance for all work undertaken.
- Our liability is limited to the value of the contract for the services provided.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of earnings, or loss of use arising from our services.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Befix website, including text, images, logos, designs, and code, is the property of BeFix Limited and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
11. Website Use
- You agree to use our website for lawful purposes only.
- You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or interfere with the operation of our website.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our website at any time without notice.
- While we aim to keep our website content accurate, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.
12. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint about our services, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. If we are unable to resolve a dispute, you may refer the matter to an appropriate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider or take legal action through the courts of England and Wales.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
